About Us

Paige and Laird are thrilled to call Santa Barbara, California their hometown—a place they've chosen to build their life and raise their family. Their journey into the AKC world began in the 1980s with the founding of Kanakai Labradors. 

Laird is a proud University of Oregon alumnus, where he played center for the Ducks and earned a degree in Human Physiology. Though his professional path diverged from his academic studies, he built a successful career as a general building contractor. A few years ago, he made a meaningful shift, teaming up with Paige as a “Team Elite” distributor with Nu Skin. Together, they’ve built a thriving business rooted in shared purpose and lasting impact. 

Paige is a driven entrepreneur, devoted wife, and proud mother on a mission to help others live boldly, find purpose, and thrive. With over 30 years in the medical field, she helped stroke and head injury patients regain vital abilities—restoring their dignity and quality of life. Her compassion led her to a higher calling: prevention, wellness, and financial empowerment. She found that teaching others to avoid illness and gain financial control was not just impactful—it was life-changing. That passion became her purpose, and she has since helped many create lives of freedom, confidence, and health. At 42, Paige fearlessly entered the world of ballroom dance, ultimately becoming a U.S. Open Pro-Am Champion. Her journey proves it’s never too late to dream big and reinvent yourself. Today, she inspires others through coaching, speaking, and leadership—combining her medical background, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering faith to show what’s possible with heart and discipline.
